Joique Bell Charity
Opportunity
The Joique Bell Charity was preparing for its annual Summer Enrichment Program with a clear mission: provide meaningful educational, athletic, and enrichment opportunities for youth across Metro Detroit. While the program had strong community roots, the organization needed to rapidly scale awareness, increase student registration, secure educator participation, and elevate visibility across media platforms to meet ambitious enrollment goals within a condensed timeframe.
The challenge was twofold:
Drive significant enrollment growth in a short window
Position the program as a credible, high-impact community initiative supported by trusted leaders and athletes
Strategy
Ki Takeaways Communications developed a 45-day intensive public relations and community outreach strategy focused on:
High-impact earned media across broadcast, print, and radio
School district and educator outreach to support the STEM curriculum
Community-centered storytelling highlighting access, mentorship, and opportunity
Strategic amplification through trusted local and national platforms
The approach balanced media visibility with grassroots engagement, ensuring awareness translated into tangible enrollment and participation.
